Bhausaheb Firodiya High School, Ahmednagar

DESCRIPTION :

In 1848-49 the British government started the Government High school in Ahmednagar and handed over to the Civil Institute of Ahmednagar. Under the inspiration and guidance of the Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade, Ahmednagar Education Society was established on first October 1887.
Ramchandra Balkrushna Bhagwat was the first Head Master of society Highschool.
The famous writer Mahadev Malhar Joshi, the great translator and Educationist Dwarkanath Tarkhadkar were the renowned headmasters of our school.
The great freedom fighter Senapati Bapat, Dada Chaudhari, Raosaheb Patwardhan, Acchyuatrao Patwardhan, Balasaheb Kher, Waman Malhar Joshi, Madhu Dandwate, B.D. Kher, Motilalji Firodia, Hastimalji Firodia, Balasaheb Bharde were the well known former students of this school.
In 1973 it is renamed as A.E.S. Bhausaheb Firodia Highschool.
All round development is the aim of this school. It is one of the famous schools in Maharashtra.
