Constituted in 2001, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pune stands high and glowing, providing holistic education to students from the rural face of the district. This centrally funded residential, co-educational school is run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. Being model school in Pune district, we aim at the all-round development of the student- Physical, Mental, Social, Emotional and Political well-being, through a number of activities ? CCA, NCC, Scout& Guide, Pace Setting Activities, GreenArmy,clubs, Educational excursions, Games and Sports, Counselling, Life Skills activities - besides an equal effort on Academic Excellence, enabling our students to adorn the covetous and responsible positions in our ?Knowledge Century?.

      The students from distinctly disadvantaged background find this Vidyalaya a boon for them, in getting opportunities of modern, quality education free of charge. Since the NVS has tied up with Dakshana Foundation, a Kota based non-profit organization, we are getting free coaching for IIT-JEE in our school for the ?smart rural talents? from the Pune Region.

      Our institution takes whole-hearted efforts to install communal harmony and national integration in the young minds- as we find in them a future generation of policy makers and the vanguards of the nation. We also try to nurture the harmony of the three fold aspects of the individuality- the Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Spiritual Quotient (SQ)- thus supplementing to their holistic growth and development.
