Welcome to the official website of LORETO CONVENT SCHOOL - Chembur, Mumbai.
Loreto Convent School is a High School recognised by the Maharashtra State Board of Education. It is a Christian School, administered by Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition, amalgamated into the Loreto (Bombay) Society.

It caters primarily to the children of R.C.F employees, the local Catholic Community, and to extent possible, members of all other Communities.

The aim of the Institute is to give students irrespective of creed, caste and place of origin, a solid formation for life, as truly integrated personalities, capable of shouldering responsibilities towards God, their families, their fellowmen and their country.

The school grew in size and popularity, under the able guidance of not only its pioneer sisters but also under Sr. Carmella, Sr. Elizabeth, Sr. Evelyn, Sr. Irene,  Sr. Bridget etc., until the year 2000?when the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition took over. The school primarily caters to the children of R.C.F employees, the local Catholic Community, and to extent possible, members of all other Communities. It is a co-ed school up to class IV, after which it is purely meant for girls and prepares them for the S.S.C exam. The first batch of girls passed the SSC exam in the year 1975.  It was a unique batch in the sense, that it was the last batch of students that appeared as the 11th std for the old SSC course.  The first batch of the 1oth Std, new course, appeared simultaneously and passed with flying colours!!
