Nagrik Shikshan Sanstha (NSS), an educational trust was established in 1963 by the late Shri Yashwantraoji Chavan, Deputy Prime Minister, who was also the founding president. Since its inception, NSS has instituted a number of educational programmes from Kindergarten to Degree courses. Complementing the conventional educational programmes, NSS has also been instrumental in introducing various vocational courses in Mumbai as well as in rural Konkan.

NSS Hill Spring International School (HSI) is the latest educational endeavour of the Trust. The basic objective is to attain all-round (physical, intellectual and spiritual) growth of the child. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure and provides a host of extra-curricular activities. The pedagogy conceptualized at HSI is truly international yet the ethos, strongly Indian.
