Columbia Foundation School started in the year 1985 in a small room situated at C - Block, Vikas Puri, by an ambitious, far-sighted and progressive NRI, Late Shri R.C. Verma who was motivated by the education system of the United States, where he lived for almost a decade. His equally learned and resolved wife, Mrs. Pramila Verma stood firmly with him for the success of the mission. The School was small but their dream was big. With their relentless efforts and perseverance today Columbia Foundation Sr. Sec. School has two more branches i.e.Columbia Junior School & Columbia City School which currently serve over 2000 students. Columbia Foundation School is run by Lala Amaranth Verma Education and Human Welfare Society. The School is recognized by the Delhi Administration and Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education.For the past few years. Ms. Deepshikha Dandu has tremendously changed the face of the school and it is still in major transition phase.With their grand celebration of silver jubilee year in 2011, Columbia Foundation has already made a mark in the field of Education. The School is also the recipient of National Award in Excellence in Education and International School Award in association with University of Cambridge for the year 2012, for its exemplary performance and participation in the international education arena. The school has been consistently producing excellent results in CBSE board examinations over the years. Currently they are offering Science and Commerce streams only.
