DESCRIPTION :

B.S.P central school Surangani was started in the year 1978 to impart quality education to the wards of NHPC Ltd. employees, other associated companies and local people of this hilly and rural area. The school is run and financed by NHPC Ltd. (A Govt of India Enterprise). It is situated about 45 km from Chamba in Salooni Tehsil of Himachal Pradesh. It is affiliated with CBSE and follows the syllabi norms and courses prescribed by CBSE and NCERT.
	
Since inception of school, hundreds of students have passed out from this school and are now serving the country in almost every field. Since the school imparts quality education with very nominal fee, it has proved to be a great blessing for the hidden talent of children of this rural area. The school is having well qualified and experienced permanent staff who always takes keen interest in maintaining high standards of education.

The school has its own pucca building including play grounds and indoor game hall, enough rooms for all types of instructional works. Fire safety devices have been provided where ever required. The school has spacious library equipped with 5000 books, many journals, magazines and news papers. It also has well equipped independent laboratories of Physics, chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer science. The multipurpose hall of the school is used for teaching the students by audio video means. It is equipped with a large television, DVD player, cassette players, projector, educational CDs etc.
