National Matric. Hr. Sec. School was established in the year 1991. The school is located in congenial surroundings on Nehru Salai Near Kathipara Junction, St. Thomas Mount. This Co-educational English Medium School is affiliated to the Board of Matriculation School, Tamil Nadu , with classes from Pre KG to Std XII.

The school was taken over on 21.10.2002 by Empee Educational & Charitable Trust who are pioneers in running educational institutions. The administration is vested with an autonomous Governing Body under the chairmanship of Mr. M.P. Purushothaman and Correspondent Mrs. Sheena (s and Biology to cater to the needs of the children in science subjects. Library is well stocked with various books to suit different age group of students to cultivate and promote reading habits.

We have set up an excellent computer center.

Computer education is given importance from classes I to XII, classes I to IV will not go through specific programming language but will work on software such as picture and painting. For students V to XII computer is taught as an integral part of work experience and also as elective subject.
