D.A.V. Police Public School is situated on Delhi Bye pass in front of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. It was founded by the then Inspector General of Police, Hisar Range, Hisar Dr. John V. George, IPS, in 2002 for providing quality education to the children of Police employees as well as the civilians. He visualized such a school which would fulfil the requirement of overall development of the child. The school got upgraded upto Sr. Sec. level in a very short span of time that is in April 2007.

Honourable Sh. Anant Kumar Dhul, IPS, the then Inspector General of Police, Hisar Range, Hisar took keen interest in the development of the school during his able Chairmanship. He had a very clear vision of a Public School. He worked day and night to ensure quality education to the wards of Police employees at an affordable rate. He wanted to provide consistency and an expert professional guidance to this prestigious institution. It is only due to his efforts that Police Public School emerged as D.A.V. Police Public School, Hisar w.e.f. 01-01-2009. Now it has become really a pride for Hisar town.

At this time the School is guided by Hon?ble Sh. K.P Singh, IPS , DGP, Haryana- cum-Patron of the School and respected  Sh. Amitabh Dhillon , IPS, IGP,Hisar  Range, Hisar -cum- Chairman, D.A.V.
