M.N.P.M Central school is dedicated to the immortal memory of Member Sri.Narayana Pillai, whose contributions to the progress and prosperity of Chavara is remembered with gratitude by generations.

The Founder Member Sree Narayana Pillai (1928-1982). Born in Madappally, one of the most backward villages in Chavara in North Kollam, Member Sree Narayana Pillai had made a discernible mark in the social and educational scene. As an industrialist and social activist, one of his greatest dreams was to transform his village and adjoining regions by advancing the cause of education. Member Sree Narayana Pillai Institute of Management & Technology was born of this dream.

MNPM Central School is the only recognised English Medium School in Chavara, Panmana, Thevalakkara and Thekkumbhagam Panchayaths, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It prepares students for All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination of CBSE.

The school has been established with the motto of social uplift through education, and it is a noble venture aimed at immortalizing the memory of Member Sri. Naryanan Pillai, who is adored by the people of Chavara for his valuable social services. It is managed by a trust headed by Sri. N.Vijayan Pillai, former District Panchayat Member. It?s a purely service - oriented venture devoid of any profit motive. The school has been affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, preparing students for All Indian Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination.
