The school is the venture of the DAV College Managing Society, New Delhi. In 2008-09 and earlier citizens of Garhwa felt the need of DAV education for their children. Mr Parasnath Keshri, a local businessman donated about 5 acres land for the establishment of the school. The school initially started in a building that was provided to us by the local administration. Presently the school was constructed its own building at Pharathiya at the outskirt of Garhwa town amongst scenic beauty of nature.
