Kendriya Vidyalaya is a system of Central Government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Garhwa is a civil sector Vidyalaya, It established in 2007. It is located at Piprakala, Gaytri Nagar. The Vidyalaya comes under the jurisdiction of KVS, Regional office, Ranchi. It is a co-educational institution. It has the classes from I to X.
