Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu, a temple of learning was established in on 1st May 1967, run and managed as MODEL KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA and SMART SCHOOL of Jammu Region by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body of HRD Ministry, Govt. of India is sincerely engaged in the pursuit of excellence as pace setter institution for providing quality education.
The Vidyalaya is having four sections in each class from I to XII with Science, Humanities and Commerce at +2 level. The Vidyalaya has an ideal teacher pupil ratio, competent and caring teaching & non teaching staff, profoundly learned and highly experience Principal, modern teaching aids, well developed play fields, laboratories, resource centre workshop and pollution free campus.
