The games & sports are compulsory for the physical and mental development of the child. The games are played both inside & outside according to rules but sports are only played outside and many sports do not confirm to rigid rules. The success & victory in games & sports depends upon composite factors like intelligence, skill, strength, alertness,, reflexes, luck etc. Not withstanding the utilization of leisure time & breaking of monotomy; the development of sportsmanship results in fair play, team-spirit, leadership, self-confidence, brotherhood& friendship etc. Activating of these traits channelises discipline, confidence, courage, spirit of sacrifice & a measure of healthy living .
