he establishment of Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Karimganj on 26th day of January 1997 was the beginning of a mission of the local people as well as Karyo kartas of Vidya bharati especially Sri Pankaj Singh, former organizing secretary, Shikha Vikash Parishad, Silchar and Dr. Kamalesh Dey, Child specialist, Karimganj. This was patronised by so many distinguished and dignified personalities of Karimganj Town. The mission of 1997 was brought to reality by a long journey of 16 years to fulfill the objectives of Vidya Bharati as well as aspirations of the people and now a days this institution is a center of socio-academic Conciousness in Karimganj town and other districts of Barak region.
