Sunflower School, Guwahati

Sunflower School was established way back in mid seventies(9th March, 1977) when a need for a good English Medium School which could impart quality education to one and all was strongly felt. Mrs Kusum Gupta, a pioneering educationist with a vast teaching experience and one of the just few teachers to undertake an Association of Montessori International training in New Delhi from North-East in early sixties took up the challenge and established the "Sunflower English High School".

From a modest beginning SFS has come a long way emerged as a premier educational institution.Thanks to the constant support of the guardians ,teachers and people in general which made SFS a seat of excellence for one and all .The school is open to all without any discrimination of caste and creed where the medium of education being English with an Indian vernacular language as a compulsory subject in the school curriculam.

The school is under SEBA Board and the students are appearing for their board exams since 1986 with excellent results.
