Senior Secondary Model School, Hisar has completed fifty years of its existence. During this period the institution's contribution has been laudable and it has emerged as one of the leading educational institution affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school is recognized for its progressive education with a definite accent of Indian culture and tradition. It came into its existence due to the untiring efforts of a visionary, Late Pt. Thakur Dass Bhargava, M.P., an eminent lawyer, a distinguished parliamentarian, a well known educationist and a social reformer. 

The aim of his vision was to fulfill the academic needs of the students of this area, to impart liberal and sound education combined with traditional values of our heritage, to produce a whole some personality with multi use competencies, to awaken students about national issues and to produce responsible citizens. The school was very well nurtured by dedicated social workers and personalities like Advocate Bhakshi Ram Kishanji and Advocate Babu M.P. Jain in the capacities as president of the school. The present management committee headed by Smt. Krishna Bhargava is nurturing the school with their special efforts to make true the dreams of the founder father Late Pt. Thakur Dass Bhargava. The school provides a host of activities and the curriculum is so planned that it suits the different stages of development.
