Every great dream begins with a dreamer. One such dreamer was late Mr. Aaditya Kumar Chaturvedi (Ex. Principal, M.L.K.P.G.College, Balrampur), revered founder of this institution. It was his dream to provide exceptional educational opportunities to the students of Balrampur and its neighboring areas, irrespective of caste, creed and social status. That dream became a reality when this prestigious school came in to existence on June 25, 1967.
                 In the beginning this institution was started with a few students on roll by its primary name, ?Balrampur Montessori School?. On August 08, 1978 it was renamed as, ?Balrampur Modern School, Balrampur? by the Managing Committee of the school. Initially it was up to class V and as the years advanced, so did the standard of education and finally in 1991 it turned into a Higher Secondary School and in 1997 into an Intermediate College, governed by U.P. Board of Secondary Education. Ms. Prafulla Ghoshal (Retd. Principal of B.G.I.C., Balrampur) was its first Principal. The successive Principals- Ms. Nazar Zahra Jeffry (In charge), Mr. Indu Bhushan Dutta, Mr. R.K. Mishra and Mr. S.K. Mishra (D.D.R. Education) nurtured this institution from 1970 to1983-1984. Under the guidance of Mrs. Geeta Tripathi (Senior teacher and Incharge Principal in 1984-85), who took over as permanent Principal in 1985-1986, the school is striving for greater excellence. At present time this prestigious institution is governed by twenty three members? Trustee and seven members? Managing Committee, Mr. Ashok Gupta, Dr. S.B.Mishra , Mr. Krishna Mohan Pandey, Mr. Jitendra Pratap Singh Tomar
and Mr. Ajay Kumar Agrawal being President, Vice President, Manager, Secretary and Treasurer of the School respectively. Maharaja Balrampur is the chief patron of the school
